Builders are often unaware that temporary buildings can also be made of wood. That is why they opt for a conventional container solution, even if it is associated with disadvantages such as a poorer indoor climate and higher pollution. Factors that should be of essential importance in a temporary kindergarten, school or office building. Even when the Office of the Federal President in Berlin needed a temporary administration building, those responsible initially thought of buying containers. They entrusted the planning and implementation of the project to the architectural firm Mark Architekten, which has been responsible for building maintenance measures in the Office of the Federal President for over ten years. Owner Stefan Mark: "With the container solution, we would not have gained any time compared to a wooden construction, but we would have accepted a significantly poorer quality of space for the employees. That's why we proposed a wooden structure as an alternative." The architect had in mind a temporary building made of solid wood wall (MHM) elements: "I became aware of MHM in Hawangen as part of an expert work and had the system explained to me in detail," Mark recalls.
