The price is subordinate: "At first glance, building with MHM is a bit more expensive compared to concrete or bricks. However, since the wall structure is around 6 cm thinner than conventional construction and with the same insulation values, we achieve a larger living space," explains Geiger. In addition, he is convinced that the high degree of prefabrication, the faster construction method and further process coordination will optimize costs. "It's the innovation behind MHM that counts. And the customers are also willing to pay a little more for this system," says Veit. In the past two years, Wild Projektentwicklung has already implemented four projects with a total of 28 residential units with MHM. "We have installed around 1700 m3 of wood in these buildings and have already stored 1700 t of CO2," says Geiger, visibly proud.
